We’re looking for help!
We’re wrapping up our prototype for submission in September and preparing to defend our grant application in November. With results expected in December, we are planning to kick off the vertical slice in early 2026, pending a successful grant. We're applying for funding for the vertical slice, and need to budget people for that phase of development. To make this next step possible, we’re looking for a couple of creative collaborators to join us.

What's a Vertical Slice?
A vertical slice is a fully playable, polished section of a game that demonstrates the final quality and overall player experience. It showcases every key element (gameplay mechanics, art direction, audio, and narrative) working together as they would in the finished product.

Due to grant reasons, we can only consider applicants for paid positions who currently reside in Flanders, Belgium.

Writer
Help shape the narrative design of Spirit. You’ll be responsible for writing item and skill descriptions, as well as supporting worldbuilding and storytelling across the game.
Musician / Sound Designer
Create and produce the music and soundscape of Spirit. This includes original compositions, general sound design, and helping define the game’s overall audio identity.
